History

THE HOUSE DATES BACK TO 1870; IT IS A LISTED BUILDING AND BELONGS TO THE REAL ESTATE HERITAGE OF THE JUNTA DE ANDALUCÍA.

The access is through the front garden. There are fruit trees and an old “pilón” to cool off. The house has 5 bedrooms, one of them is double, each of them have their own bathroom. Its capacity is from 10 to 18 people.dad de 10 a 18 persona.

La Casa Grande de Zujaira is located in the municipality of Zujaira, in the fertile plain of Granada, 22 kilometers away from the main town.

Zujaira is a village with an Arab origin, and “lorquiano” ,Federico García Lorca wrote part of his poems, specifically from Saint Pascual ́s Station (sadly disappeared today) he used to wait for the train there to go back to Granada, as his family had a house in the neighboring municipality of Valderrubio.

The landscape of “la Vega de Zujaira” is spectacular, because you can see Sierra Nevada, Sierra Elvira, Los Guajares, Sierra de Almijara, Sierra de Parapanda and Sierra de Huetor from there.

Gollizno Route

NATURE AND WELLNESS

The route of the Gollizno is a route through the history of the town of Moclín. From its caves, with cave paintings, to its castle and walls. It descends to the center of Olivares, and runs over a footbridge and bridges, through the Tajos de la Hoz, and the steep gorge created by the river Velillos.

Lorca's Village

Zujaira ́s name is even more remarkable as it is “lorquian” village. Federico García Lorca use to write some of his poems from the now disappeared San Pascual train station , as it is only 9 minutes away from his birthplace “ Fuente Vaqueros”, now it’s a House Museum.
